Donald Azutalam is from Nigeria. He pursued his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Technology. He will pursue his one-year master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Systems Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. Following his studies, he wishes to become a professor in electrical engineering, specializing in renewable energy systems.
Bereket Haile is an electrical engineer from the University of Asmara in Eritrea. He will pursue a European Master in Renewable Energy at EUREC. Upon the completion of his studies, he wishes to launch a scheme that will provide cost effective solutions and maintenance for photovoltaic systems in the remote areas of Eritrea.
Raul Gustavo Lopez Granados is a civil engineer from Universidad Technologica Centro Americana in Honduras. He will pursue a Post Graduate Programme in Renewable Energies at University of Oldenburg, Germany. He is strongly committed to the development of his country and will return to Honduras to promote better energy options for the environment and the economy.
Piyush Singh is from India where he obtained a Bachelor of Technology at the Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, India. He is currently a manager at the fluidilised bed power plant, India. Mr. Singh will pursue a two-year wind energy master’s at Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. He is committed to returning to India to help meet the challenges of sustainable energy through the implementation of micro wind turbines for their effective usage in urban areas.
Joey Velarde is from the Philippines where he obtained a Bachelor in Civil Engineering. Mr. Velarde works as a university instructor in the engineering science department at the College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology. He will pursue a two-year European Wind Energy Master’s in Europe. Following his studies, he wishes to work on developing an offshore wind energy project in the Philippines.
